Keepers Thien and Binh prepare the mixed diet for turtles maintained at the TCC. The diet consists of cut greens, tomato, banana, tofu, and other available vegetables, and is served three times each week to terrestrial and semi-aquatic species. Other dietary inputs include kilos of fresh worms, fish, crushed crab, green leaf and stalks, fruits, hundreds of grasshoppers, aquatic vegetation (elodea and water hyacinth), and snails. Yum. |
